If QuickBooks is running, but no data is interfaced:
Make sure your Company Name in QuickBooks isn't too long. TripTracker looks for an open window with the word 'QuickBooks' in it, but it has to be in the first 30 characters.
In some versions of Windows, if you minimize the QuickBooks application, TripTracker can't restore it. Instead, switch from QuickBooks to TripTracker by using the buttons on the Start bar, or by Alt-Tab.
If there is ever a problem with an import into QuickBooks, TripTracker saves the last 20 merged import files.
These are saved in your private directory, typically C:\TripPriv.
The most recent import is TripWin1.iif.
The oldest import is TripWin20.iif.
These can be manually imported into QuickBooks, but be very careful since some of the transactions might have been successfully been imported already.
These files can be edited in Excel or Notepad.
If an error was displayed in the Updating QuickBooks section, the line number will refer to the specific line in the latest file.
If you can not find your Customer in QuickBooks, check the Other Names List. If it is there, convert it to a Customer by right-clicking the name.
Make sure your Customer names are exactly the same in QuickBooks and TripTracker. QuickBooks will not import 'John Smith' if it already has 'Smith, John'.
Note that QuickBooks will not let you have a Customer with the same name as an Employee or Vendor, so make sure you make each of these unique.
