Run Interface of TripTracker Data to QuickBooks Pro
Updated Aug 8, 2008 Version 12.9
Updating Quickbooks:
As each of the processes listed here are run, they build import files to be sent to QuickBooks. For example, when you save an Invoice, all its relevant data is stored.
These import files can be easily interfaced on any computer that runs both TripTracker and QuickBooks.
Make sure the 'QuickBooks Version' field is correct on the Edit then Options screen's QuickBooks Info tab.
Make sure QuickBooks is running on the computer.
It is good practice to back up your QuickBooks data before each import.
Run the interface:
In TripTracker, go to 'Utilities' then 'Start QuickBooks Interface'.
Every time you press the 'Start QuickBooks Update' button, all of the current import files will be merged and then automatically imported into QuickBooks. In effect, TripTracker 'types into' QuickBooks all the instructions to do the import.
If any errors happen during the QuickBooks import, be sure to write them down, including the line numbers. This can be useful later to figure out what happened.
The next time your run the interface, it will only process new files, not any that have already been sent.
