Extract Email Addresses to a Spreadsheet |
Updated Aug 8, 2008 Version 12.9 |
In Version 12.8+, a new utility was added to extract your Email Addresses and put them into a spreadsheet, i.e. Excel. From there, you can import them to your email program and send out mass emails.
Note - be sure to use 'BCC:' instead of 'TO:' when addressing the emails, since you don't want each recipient to see all of your contacts.
Here's how to run this:
- In TripTracker, go to File then Project Viewer, and click Forms on the left, and double-click ZEmailList.FDL on the right.
- If you do not have this file, click the link below and save the form ZEmailList.FDL to your TripWin folder.
- If you are a single-user, this should be C:\TripWin.
- If you are a network user, this is typically on your T:\ drive.
- It should not replace an existing file.
- It will display a list of all selected Email Addresses, including how many times the Email Address was found.
- Choose which tables you want to process.
- Enter the name of the CSV file you want to create.
- Click the 'Get Email Addresses' button.
- This will populate the list with each distinct Email Address from the chosen tables.
- Note that this will not retrieve any archived data.
- Once you are satisfied with the list, click the 'Create CSV File' button.
- This will create the desired file, and display how many Email Addresses were captured.
- You can also have this open the created file with your default spreadsheet program.
- Press the 'Clear the List' button to start over.
